Dr. Michael L. Bond joined 1st Eye Care in January 2001. Dr. Bond received his bachelor of biology degree from Southern Arkansas University and completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the University of Houston College of Optometry. He received an award for outstanding teaching assistant and for clinical letters of excellence in all clinical rotations. He completed his internships in the treatment and management of glaucoma and corneal diseases and is certified as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist by the Texas Optometry Board.

Dr. Bond has served as president of the Tarrant County Optometric Society and is an active member of the American and Texas Optometric Associations. He has also received a Certificate of Excellence issued by Vision Service Plan, VSP, for his commitment to high quality care and services. His areas of interest include family practice, management and treatment of glaucoma and specialty contact lens cases.

Drs. Michael and Lindsay Bond have two children, Eleanor Grace and Benjamin Michael. Dr. Bond enjoys spending time with his family, nature photography and hunting.
