Dr. Tim P. Kret, founder and Senior Partner, opened 1st Eye Care in 1975. Dr. Kret did his undergraduate work at the University of Texas at Arlington and completed his Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry, Chicago, Illinois. He completed extended training in treatment and management of eye diseases from the University of Houston College of Optometry and is certified as an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist by the Texas Optometry Board.

Dr. Kret is active in the community, serving on various advisory committees. He is a long time member of Saginaw United Methodist Church. Dr. Kret and his wife, Jane Ann, are both natives of Fort Worth enjoying family, friends and travel.
